Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School (BSNBCS) is based on the premise that all students can reach the highest point of their academic capacity by setting high standards and expectations in all areas of our educational program. By creating an environment that promotes academic and civic achievements, BSNBCS will give its students the tools to succeed in today’s world.

Our Educational Approach
At BSNBCS student achievement is anchored in a fundamental and holistic approach to learning. Our program highlights and characteristics include:
- An all-inclusive environment that promotes diverse learning for ALL students
- More time on task
- Extended school day, extended school year & monthly Saturday program
- A supplemented curriculum that includes the study of Latin
- Technology, Art, Music, Theatre & Physical Education
- Emphasis on community service, stakeholder investment and civic responsibility
Our Stakeholders
BSNBCS promotes student, parental and staff involvement in the school by inviting parents and school staff to become members of various school committees. Through the school's various forums, BSNBCS seeks the input of stakeholders on issues that significantly impact the school, its operation and its instructional program.
Reserving a trustee position on the Board for a parent of a BSNBCS student and reserving a standing opportunity for the school's staff to make recommendations for improvement, we believe, will be an effective tool in making BSNBCS a sound educational option.
